New Update!

Latest Deadline: WE ARE NOW OPEN TO SUBMISSIONS!

Submit Your Letter to: sgagos@aol.com

Dear Survivors,

It has been a little over a year since the deadline for submissions. During this year we have determined that we do not have enough submissions to choose from in order to create a book that is not only powerful but healing. As a result of keeping track of the traffic for the site, we have become aware that there is a large number of survivors that are interested in the project but may not be ready to submit letters at this point but who could benefit from reading the letters of others and perhaps find the strength and courage to continue on their own journeys. We are committed to providing a space for both, survivors who are wanting to write letters to their perpetrators in order to heal and those who want to heal through reading them.

We have decided to post some of the submissions we receive and at a later date compile them into a book entitled: Letters to My Abusers: What We Couldn't Say Then. Starting today, we are opening the site up for submissions and will be posting one letter a week, as they come in. You can email your letter to sgagos@aol.com. Please follow the Releasing Letters Guide when writing your letter, review the submission page and submit the Permissions Agreement to us when you send your submission. We must have both in order to post it. Remember you do not need to use your full name or real name even, but we do need to have a correct email address.

For those of you who have already submitted letters, every attempt will be made to contact you to let you know we may be posting yours. If you have any objection to this please contact us. Also if your contact email has changed please let us know.

Please feel free to send in testimonials of how this site and the letters here are helping you on your healing path. We will be posting those as well in a section for comments.

Our hope is to create a healing community of survivors willing to speak their truth and be a witness to the truth of others.

Lovingly, Stephanie Gagos and Staff
